Welcome to the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC), the regulator established in terms of the Pharmacy Act, 1974 (Act 53 of 1974) to regulate pharmacists, pharmacy support personnel and pharmacy premises in South Africa.
Our mandate is to protect, promote and maintain the health, safety and wellbeing of patients and the public to ensure accessible quality pharmaceutical service for all South Africans.

Announcement: Fees payable to SAPC for 2026

Fees payable to Council have been adjusted by 3.6% for 2026. A schedule of fees is available in the Fees Regulations on the Council website. Alternatively, the regulations can be downloaded here.

Announcement: The South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) is pleased to announce that the long-awaited 4th National Pharmacy Conference will take place on 11-13 October 2026 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre Complex (commonly known as “Durban ICC”) in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The conference will be held under the theme: “A Glimpse into The Future: Advancing Pharmacy Towards 2050.”
